In the fictional world of “The World of AA”, artist Ching Yeh depicts the birth of a biological weapon, the artificial angel, to imagine what form the human species might take in order to reproduce and survive, along with a series of explorations, set in a world where order has collapsed, of distorted religion, misplaced faith, hidden violence and changes of the mind.
CAINT is a biotechnology company in the world of AA, dedicated to research in life engineering, biomaterials and applied technologies for special life forms. It developed and manufactured the “artificial angel” in an attempt to probe the ultimate state of life, and sold it as a mass-producible weapon to be deployed in war, which on the one hand protected humanity’s continued existence, but on the other also catalyzed chaos in the world.
ChingYeh is a concept artist working mainly in concept design and visual creation. The work focuses on character, worldbuilding and narrative design, spanning games, film and animation.
